Rear Compartment Side Trim Panel Replacement

Removal Procedure





1. Remove the lift window strut. Refer to Rear Compartment Lift Window Strut Replacement Service and Repair.

2. Remove the seat belt anchor bolt from the seat.

3. Remove the seat belt escutcheon (1) from the trim panel.

4. Grasp the panel and pull outward disengaging the clips securing the panel from the vehicle.

5. Feed the seat belt through the opening in the panel.

6. Remove the panel from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure





1. Position the trim panel within the vehicle.

2. Feed the seat belt through the opening in the panel.

3. Push inward on the panel until the retaining clips engage securing the panel to the vehicle.

4. Install the seat belt escutcheon (1) in the trim panel.

Caution:
Refer to Fastener Caution Fastener Caution.

5. Install the seat belt anchor bolt to the seat.

Tighten the bolt to 9 Nm (80 lb in).

6. Install the lift window strut. Refer to Rear Compartment Lift Window Strut Replacement Service and Repair.
