Driver Door Key Cylinder Arm Switch Failure
Tests 1 - 3:
SYMPTOM
DRIVER DOOR KEY CYL ARM switch FAILURE
WHEN MONITORED:
Each switch inside the door has a unique resistance value which when activated sends a voltage level to the BCM. The BCM will interpret the different levels and perform the desired function.
SET CONDITION:
The BCM senses a voltage of 4 volts (± 25O mV) on the LF door switch MUX circuit for longer than 8 seconds.
POSSIBLE CAUSES
- Driver door key cylinder switch malfunction
- Driver door key cylinder switch sticking
- Driver door key cylinder switch stuck in LOCK position
