Passenger Door Lock Switch Failure

Tests 1 - 3:

SYMPTOM
PASSENGER DOOR LOCK SWITCH FAILURE

WHEN MONITORED:
Each switch inside the door has a unique resistance value which when activated sends a voltage level to the BCM. The BCM will interpret the different levels and perform the desired function.

SET CONDITION:
The BCM senses a voltage of 3.0 volts (± 250 mV) on the RF door switch MUX circuit for longer than 8 seconds.

POSSIBLE CAUSES
- Passenger door lock switch internal failure
- Passenger door lock switch sticking
- Passenger door lock switch voltage low
