Engine Oil Pan - Installation

INSTALLATION





1. Clean oil pan and all gasket surfaces Procedures.
2. Apply a 1/8 inch bead of Mopar(R) Engine RTV GEN II at the parting line of the oil pump housing and the rear seal retainer.
3. Install oil pan gasket to the engine block.





4. Install oil pan and tighten oil pan bolts and nuts to 28 Nm (21 ft. lbs.).





5. Position oil cooler (1) to engine block. Install oil cooler connector bolt (2) and tighten to 54 Nm (40 ft. lbs.).





6. Position oil filter adaptor and oil filter (3) to oil cooler (1). Install bolt (2) finger tight.





7. Install the oil filter housing support bolt (1) and tighten to 8 Nm (70 in. lbs.).





8. Tighten the previously installed oil filter adapter bolt (2) to 54 Nm (40 ft. lbs.).





9. Install torque converter access cover (2).





10. Install the crossunder pipe bracket (4). Tighten bolts (2) to 28 Nm (21 ft. lbs.).





11. Install the front maniverter Exhaust Manifold - Installation





12. Install the oil dipstick tube and install oil dipstick tube bolt (1).





13. Install the crossunder pipe Exhaust Crossunder Pipe - Installation.
14. Fill engine crankcase with proper oil to correct level Service and Repair.
15. Reconnect negative battery cable.
16. Start engine and check for leaks.
