DR-5A Fault Code 17-Throttle Control Solenoid

1. Connect diagnostic readout box to engine harness connector.
2. Connect a voltmeter to green/white wire of carburetor connector (3-way 6 cyl./4-way 8 cyl.) and ground.
3. Place fast idle adjusting screw on highest step of fast idle cam, then lightly press on throttle control solenoid plunger.
4. Put system in ATM Test Mode 97.
5. If voltmeter pulsates but solenoid does not move, replace solenoid.
6. If voltmeter does not pulsate, proceed to Step B. DR-5B Throttle Control Solenoid Control Circuit
