SYMPTOM LIST
P-1493 BTS VOLTAGE TOO LOW

TEST NOTE:
This symptom is diagnosed using the test P-1492 BTS VOLTAGE TOO HIGH.

WHEN MONITORED
With the ignition key on.

SET CONDITION
The PCM senses the voltage from the BTS to be either below 0.5 volts or above 4.9 volts for 3 seconds.

POSSIBLE CAUSES
- Battery Temperature Sensor defective
- Battery Temperature Sensor ground circuit open
- BTS defective (voltage too high)
- Battery Temperature Sensor signal circuit open
- BTS connector and harness intermittent defective
- BTS connector and harness observably defective
- BTS signal circuit short to ground
- BTS signal circuit short to sensor ground
- BTS signal circuit shorted to voltage
- PCM defective (BTS voltage low)
- PCM defective (BTS voltage too low/voltage too high)
