WHEN MONITORED
Continuously with the key on and engine running.
SET CONDITION
A fault condition is identified if output of governor pressure sensor is above 3 PSI when the requested pressure is 0 PSI with Governor Pressure Solenoid duty cycle at 95% for 2.65 seconds. The code is set when after 2 consecutive bad 2.65 second tests.
POSSIBLE CAUSES
- No possible causes remaining
- Other transmission codes present
- 5-volt supply circuit open
- Governor pressure sensor defective
- Actual pressure not within 5 psi of target psi in 3 seconds
- Transmission oil contaminated
- Valve body defective
- Governor pressure sensor wiring harness intermittent defect
- Governor pressure sensor wiring harness observable defect
