SYMPTOM
P0238 - MAP SENSOR VOLTAGE TOO HIGH
WHEN MONITORED
With engine speed above 400 rpm but less than 3520 rpm and battery voltage greater than 10.4 volts.
SET CONDITION
The MAP sensor signal voltage is greater than 4.88 volts at start or with the engine running for 2.0 seconds.
POSSIBLE CAUSES
- "BOOST PRESSURE TEST" did not pass
- IAT or ECT sensor voltage too high DTC
- No possible causes remaining
- Oil press or sensor supply voltage too high DTC
- MAP sensor ground circuit open
- MAP sensor signal circuit open
- MAP sensor signal circuit shorted to voltage
- MAP sensor wiring harness intermittent defect
- MAP sensor wiring harness observable defect
- Engine Control Module
- MAP sensor
