SYMPTOM
P1493 - AMBIENT/BATT TEMPERATURE SENSOR VOLTS TOO LOW

WHEN MONITORED
With the ignition key ON.

SET CONDITION
The PCM senses the voltage from the BTS to be below 0.5 volts for 3 seconds.

POSSIBLE CAUSES
- PCM defective (BTS resistance low)
- Ambient/BATT connector and harness intermittent defect
- BTS connector and harness observable defect
- BTS
- BTS signal circuit shorted to ground
- BTS signal circuit shorted to sensor ground circuit
