SYMPTOM
P1756 - GOVERNOR PRESSURE NOT EQUAL TO TARGET @ 35-40 PSI

WHEN MONITORED
Continuously with the Key ON and Engine running.

SET CONDITION
A fault condition is identified if the output of the Governor Pressure Sensor is below 30 psi or above 45 psi when the requested pressure is between 35 and 40 psi for 2.2 seconds. The code is set after five consecutive bad 2.2 second tests.

POSSIBLE CAUSES
- DRB shows other transmission codes
- 5 volt supply circuit to solenoid pack connector open
- Governor pressure sensor
- Transmission leaking internally
- Transmission mechanical
- Valve body
- Governor pressure sensor wiring harness intermittent defect
- Governor pressure sensor wiring harness observable defect
