SYMPTOM
P1762 - GOVERNOR PRESSURE SENSOR OFFSET VOLTS TOO LO OR HIGH

WHEN MONITORED
Continuously with the key ON and engine running.

SET CONDITION
A fault condition is identified if the governor pressure is out of range in park or neutral for 1.3 seconds. The code will be set after three consecutive bad tests.

POSSIBLE CAUSES
- 5 volt supply circuit open
- Governor pressure sensor wiring harness intermittent defect
- Governor pressure sensor ground circuit open
- Park/Neutral switch
- Park/Neutral switch not operating correctly
- Governor pressure sensor harness intermittent defect
- Governor pressure sensor harness observable defect
- Transmission fluid excessive debris
- Transmission fluid problem
