SYMPTOM
P1388 - AUTO SHUTDOWN RELAY CONTROL CIRCUIT

WHEN MONITORED
With ignition key ON and battery voltage greater than 10.4 volts. An open or shorted condition is detected in the Auto Shutdown Relay control circuit.

SET CONDITION
An open or shorted condition is detected in the Auto Shutdown Relay control circuit.

POSSIBLE CAUSES
- Fused ignition switch output circuit open
- Wiring and connectors observable defect
- Wiring harness intermittent defect
- ASD relay
- ASD relay control circuit open
- ASD relay control shorted to ground
- Powertrain Control Module (ASD relay control circuit
