REMOVAL

NOTE: Left side liftgate support cylinder shown in illustrations. Right side similar.





1. Support the liftgate (3) with a suitable lifting device in the full open position.
2. Disengage the retainer that secures the liftgate support cylinder (2) being serviced to the pivot (1) located on the liftgate and disconnect the support cylinder from the pivot.
3. If required, remove the pivot from the liftgate.




4. Disengage the retainer that secures the liftgate support cylinder (2) being serviced to the to the pivot (3) located on the D-pillar (1) and disconnect the support cylinder from the pivot.
5. If required, remove the pivot from the D-pillar.
