Engine Oil Pan - Removal






REMOVAL

1. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable.




2. Remove the crossunder pipe Exhaust Crossunder Pipe - Removal.





3. Remove the oil dipstick tube bolt (1) and remove the oil dipstick tube.





4. Remove the front maniverter Exhaust Manifold - Removal.





5. Raise and support the vehicle Service and Repair.
6. Remove the crossunder pipe bracket (4) from the bottom of the transaxle bellhousing (1).





7. Remove the bolt (3) and the torque converter access cover (2).

8. Drain engine oil Service and Repair.




9. Remove the support bolt (1) from the oil filter housing (2).





10. Remove bolt (2) from oil filter housing and remove oil filter housing with oil filter (3) from oil cooler (1).





11. Remove oil cooler connector bolt (2) and reposition oil cooler (1).





12. Remove oil pan fasteners. Remove oil pan.

NOTE: A small amount of oil will remain in the oil pan. Use care when removing the oil pan from the engine.

13. Remove oil pan gasket.
