Ignition Coil - Removal

1. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable.
2. Remove the upper intake manifold including EGR tube, PCV, purge and power brake booster vacuum hoses Intake Manifold - Removal.





3. Unlock and disconnect electrical connector (1) from ignition coil (3).
4. Clean area at base of coil with compressed air before removal.
5. Remove coil mounting bolt (2).
6. Carefully pull up coil from cylinder head opening with a slight twisting action.
7. Remove coil from engine.
