Exhaust Crossunder Pipe - Installation

INSTALLATION





1. Install the crossunder pipe, then loosely install the crossunder bracket fastener (1).





2. Install the exhaust pipe, then loosely install the exhaust-to-crossunder fasteners (1).





3. Loosely install the rear maniverter-to-crossunder fasteners (1).





4. Loosely install the front maniverter-to-crossunder fasteners (1).










NOTE: Verify that there is at least 16 mm (0.62 in.) of clearance between the indentation in the crossunder pipe near the extension pipe flange and the fore-aft crossmember. Otherwise, the crossunder pipe can contact the fore-aft crossmember due to engine torquing, causing a noise/vibration during acceleration.

5. Tighten bolts connecting crossunder pipe to maniverters to 28 Nm (250 in.-lbs.).
6. Tighten the exhaust-to-crossunder fasteners to 30 N.m (22 ft. lbs.).
7. Tighten the crossunder bracket bolt to 28 Nm (250 in.-lbs.)
