Heater Pad - Installation

INSTALLATION

CAUTION: During the installation of the replacement heating element, be careful not to fold or crease the element assembly. Folds or creases will cause premature failure.

NOTE: Heated seat cushion shown. Heated seat back similar.





1. Peel the adhesive backing off the replacement heating element (2).
2. Position the replacement heating element directly onto the cushion where the original element was (1). There will be adhesive marks on the cushion, outlining the original heating element location.





3. Connect the heating element electrical connectors (3 and 4).
4. Reconnect the negative battery cable.
5. Verify heated seat system operation.

NOTE: Make certain the heated seat wire harness is correctly routed through the seat and seat back. Excess wire between the seat cushion and seat back elements should be securely tucked between the rear of the seat cushion foam and the rear flap of the seat cushion cover.

6. Install the appropriate seat cushion or seat back cover.
