Liftgate Trim Panel - Removal

REMOVAL

Special Tools:






TRIM PANEL - SIDES





1. Open the liftgate.
2. Using trim stick or equivalent, pry around the perimeter of the trim panel to disengage the retaining clips and remove the left and right side trim panels (1).

TRIM PANEL - UPPER





1. Open the liftgate.
2. Remove the left and right side trim panels.
3. Using a small pry/pick tool or equivalent, separate the pushpin fasteners (1) from the upper trim panel (2). Repeat on the opposite side.





4. Using trim stick or equivalent, pry around the perimeter of the upper trim panel (1) to disengage the retaining clips and remove the trim panel.

TRIM PANEL - LOWER





NOTE: The side trim panels can be removed in conjunction with the lower liftgate trim panel.

1. Open the liftgate.
2. Remove the two lower screws (1).





3. If removing the side trim panels (2, 3) in conjunction with the lower trim panel, disengage the retaining clips using trim stick or equivalent.
4. Using trim stick or equivalent, pry around the perimeter of the lower trim panel (1) to disengage the retaining clips.






NOTE: View shown with side panels shown.

5. Position the lower trim panel (1) slightly away from the door and disconnect the wiring harness from the liftgate lamp (2).
6. Remove the lower trim panel (1).
