Floor Console - Removal
REMOVAL
Special Tools:
BASE FLOOR CONSOLE
1. Remove the front plug (2) and clip (3).
2. Slide the console (1) forward while lifting slightly (4) to clear the rear load floor hook.
3. Remove the console (1).
PREMIUM FLOOR CONSOLE
1. Pull up on the bottom release handle (3) in the front (2) of the console (1).
2. Lift the rear of the console (4) up several inches.
3. Pull rearward to disengage from floor and remove console (1).
FULL FLOOR CONSOLE
1. Position both the front seats to full forward positions.
2. Remove the fastener (3) securing the floor console to the floorpan bracket (4). Repeat on the opposite side.
3. Position both the front seats to the full rear positions.
4. Remove the fastener (4) securing the floor console to the floorpan bracket (4). Repeat on the opposite side.
5. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
6. Using (C-4755), pry around the perimeter of the upper console bezel (1) to disengage the retaining clips.
7. Position the upper console bezel (1) rearward. Do not remove the bezel at this time.
8. Rotate the upper console bezel (1) and disconnect the wiring harnesses (2).
9. Remove the upper console bezel (1).
10. Remove the two fasteners (2) securing the floor console (1) to the instrument panel.
11. Remove the pushpin fasteners (6) securing the floor console (1) to the instrument panel. Repeat on the opposite side.
12. Pull rearward to disengage and remove the floor console (1).
13. Lift the rear portion of the floor console upward between the front seats.
14. Lift the entire floor console upward.
15. Remove the floor console from the vehicle through the passenger side door opening.
