Catalytic Converter - Installation

1. If removed, install the O2 sensors.
2. Position new exhaust gasket (1) onto flange.

3. Position the catalytic converter assembly (5) into vehicle.

4. Install the upper bolts (2) at the catalytic converter to cylinder head. Tighten bolts to 23 Nm (17 ft. lbs.).





5. Position the exhaust system for proper clearance with the frame and underbody parts. A minimum clearance of 25.4 mm (1.0 in.) is required.

6. Tighten the front cross pipe to the catalytic converter flange nuts (2) to 30 Nm (22 ft. lbs.).

7. Connect oxygen sensor (2) electrical connectors.

8. If equipped, install skid plates.

9. Lower vehicle.

10. Start the vehicle and inspect for exhaust leaks. Repair exhaust leaks as necessary.
