S2 - Check Cable Guide

- Check for worn or damaged cable guide.

- Check to see if cable groove is parallel to the shoe web.

- Check to see if the body of the guide lies flat against the web.

- Does cable guide check OK?

YES -- GO to S3. S3 - Check Pivot Hook on Lever

NO -- Replace the guide.
