- Using New Generation Star (NGS) tester or equivalent:

- Perform ABS Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) retrieval.

CAUTION: Be sure to record ALL codes. Failure to do so may result in improper diagnosis and unnecessary repairs.

- Record all diagnostic trouble codes obtained.

- Are any codes present?

YES -- Go to Symptom Chart.

NO -- System Pass is obtained and no other information is available. Go to Pinpoint Test Z. If previous action was taken in PC1, concern is most likely resolved.

NO -- System Pass is obtained and concern is still present. Go to Symptom Chart. Refer to appropriate symptom.

NO -- A "No Response" code is obtained. Diagnostics are not functioning. Go to Pinpoint Test T.
