Pinpoint Test V: No Communication with the ECS Module

Normal Operation

The scan tool communicates with the Electronic Crash Sensor (ECS) module and monitors through the data link connector (DLC) C223-7, circuit 70 (LB/WH).

Possible Causes

A no communication with the ECS module fault can be caused by:
- wiring, terminals, or connectors.
- a faulty Data Link Connector (DLC).
- a damaged or inoperative ECS module.
