PINPOINT TEST K: THE VEHICLE DOES NOT START - THE ANTI-THEFT INDICATOR DOES NOT PROVE OUT AND FLASHES RAPIDLY

Normal Operation
During each key insertion and vehicle start sequence, the instrument cluster and the transceiver module reads the passive anti-theft system (PATS) key identification code.

Possible Causes
- controller area network (CAN) not connected/failure
- PATS key
- PATS transceiver
- instrument cluster
- powertrain control module (PCM)
