NOTE: Before carrying out the on-demand self test make sure that:
^ ignition is in RUN.
^ all doors are closed.
^ brake pedal is not pressed.
^ transmission in NEUTRAL.
^ 4x4 AUTO mode is selected (or the last mode selected before starting the self test).
