PINPOINT TEST I: THE REMOTE KEYLESS ENTRY (RKE) TRANSMITTER IS OUT OF SYNCHRONIZATION

I3-I4:

Normal Operation
The remote keyless entry (RKE) transmitters and the vehicle security module (VSM) use a rolling code to prevent the codes from being "captured" by a code grabber. The system advances the counter in the RKE transmitter and in the VSM every time an RKE transmitter button is pressed.

DTC B2425 - is a continuous DTC that sets when the VSM detects the rolling counter received from an RKE transmitter is 1,024 times greater than the rolling counter stored in the module.

Possible Causes
- RKE transmitter button pressed a substantial amount of times while outside the range of the vehicle
- RKE transmitter
- VSM
