Normal Operation
Battery voltage is supplied from the battery junction box (BJB) to the switch side of left third row power-fold seat relay through circuit SBB04 (GN/RD) and is hot at all times. When the smart power distribution junction box (SPDJB) energizes the left power-fold seat relay circuit CPS48 (BU), battery voltage is switched through the relay to the left power-fold seat control switch on circuit SBB31 (WH/RD). Ground is supplied to the left power-fold seat control switch through circuit GD151 (BK/GN). When the left third row power-fold seat control switch is pressed, battery voltage and ground is supplied to the left power-fold seat motor. Pressing the switch in the opposite direction, reverses the polarity to the left power-fold seat motor, which moves the third row seat backrest in the opposite direction.
Possible Causes
An inoperative third row power-fold seat can be caused by:
- fuse(s).
- wiring, terminals or connectors.
- a faulty left third row power-fold seat control switch.
- a faulty left third row power-fold seat relay.
- a faulty left third row power-fold seat motor.
