Test H: The Vehicle Does Not Start
PINPOINT TEST H: THE VEHICLE DOES NOT STARTH1:
H1-H3:
Normal Operation
During each vehicle start sequence, the passive anti-theft system (PATS) transceiver reads the PATS key identification code and sends the data to the instrument cluster, which then sends a message to the powertrain control module (PCM) to enable the injectors and the starter. The PCM grounds the starter relay solenoid coil on circuit CDC12 (YE).
Possible Causes
- Circuit CDC12 (YE) open
- PATS transceiver
- PATS key
- PCM
