Normal Operation
The smart junction box (SJB) sends a pulse-width modulated (PWM) voltage to the dimmable components through circuits VLN04 (VT/GY) (Navigator) and VLN18 (BU/WH) (Expedition). Ground is provided through circuits GD138 (BK/WH), GD143 (BK/VT) and GD150 (BK/WH).

Possible Causes
- Circuit VLN04 (VT/GY) open, short to ground or voltage
- Circuit VLN18 (BU/WH) open, short to ground or voltage
- Circuit GD138 (BK/WH) open
- Circuit GD143 (BK/VT) open
- Circuit GD150 (BK/WH) open
- Adjustable pedal switch
- Ash receptacle (Navigator only)
- Auxiliary climate control assembly
- Clock (Navigator only)
- Floor shifter
- Four wheel drive (4WD) switch
- Headlamp switch
- Hazard flasher switch
- Overhead console (power rear quarter window switches)
- Message center switch
- Door lock control switch
- Power window control switch (Navigator only)
