Test O: The Air Bag Warning Indicator Is Never/Always On

PINPOINT TEST O: THE AIR BAG WARNING INDICATOR IS NEVER/ALWAYS ON

Normal Operation
The instrument cluster receives the supplemental restraint system (SRS) status from the restraints control module (RCM) over the high speed controller area network (HS-CAN) communication bus. If an air SRS concern is detected, the RCM sets a DTC and sends a message to the instrument cluster to turn on the air bag warning indicator. If the SRS status message is missing or is deemed invalid for greater than 5 seconds, the instrument cluster sets DTC U0151 and defaults the air bag warning indicator on.
