Normal Operation
When any keypad button is pressed, the vehicle security module (VSM) sends power to the keyless entry keypad lamps on circuit 66 (LB) to assist the driver in entering an access code at night. The keyless entry keypad is grounded on circuit 124 (BR).
DTC B1625 - is a continuous and on-demand DTC that sets if the VSM detects a short to voltage on the keyless entry keypad illumination output circuit 66 (LB).
DTC B1626 - is a continuous and on-demand DTC that sets if the VSM detects a short to ground on the keyless entry keypad illumination output circuit 66 (LB).
Possible Causes
- Circuit 66 (LB) open, short to ground or voltage
- Circuit 124 (BR) open
- Keyless entry keypad
- VSM
