Test Q: The Traction Control Off Indicator (In The Switch) Is Always/Never on
Pinpoint Test Q: The Traction Control OFF Indicator (in the Switch) is Always/Never OnRefer to Vehicle/Diagrams, Vehicle Dynamic Systems for schematic and connector information.
Normal Operation
The traction control system can be disabled by pressing the traction control switch located on the instrument panel. When the system is disabled, the traction control OFF indicator in the switch will illuminate and the message center (if equipped) will display Traction Control Off.
Fused battery voltage to disable the system and to illuminate the traction control OFF indicator is supplied to the traction control switch from central junction box (CJB) fuse 22 (15A) along circuit 729 (RD/WH). When the traction control switch is pressed, the voltage is supplied through the switch to the instrument cluster along circuit 959 (GY). The instrument cluster then grounds circuit 960 (BK/LB) which illuminates the traction control OFF indicator in the switch.
^ DTC C1105 Traction Control Disable Lamp Circuit Short to Battery - If the instrument cluster detects a short to voltage along circuit 960 (BK/LB) during normal operation or the on-demand self test, DTC C1105 will be set.
This pinpoint test is intended to diagnose the following:
^ Wiring, terminals or connectors
^ Traction control switch
^ Instrument cluster
