Test N: The Parking, Rear Or License Lamps Are On Continuously

PINPOINT TEST N: THE PARKING, REAR OR LICENSE LAMPS ARE ON CONTINUOUSLY

Normal Operation
When the headlamp switch is placed in the parking lamps ON position, voltage is routed through circuit 14 (BN) to the instrument cluster (IC), the overhead console and the parking lamps. The vehicle security module (VSM) also has an output spliced to circuit 14 (BN) to illuminate the parking lamps.

- DTC B2252 (Parklamp Output Relay Driver Short to Battery) - is an on-demand DTC that sets when the VSM detects a short to voltage from the parking lamps voltage supply circuit.

This pinpoint test is intended to diagnose the following:
- Wiring, terminals or connectors
- Headlamp switch
- Overhead console
- VSM
- Instrument cluster (IC)
