Pinpoint Test E: The Power Seat Does Not Move Horizontally/Vertically

Refer to Wiring Diagram Set 120, Power Seats for schematic and connector information. Diagrams By Number

Normal Operation

The seat control switch is supplied battery voltage on circuit SBB74 (YE/RD) and ground on circuit GD133 (BK). When pressed the seat control switch supplies battery voltage and ground to horizontal motor circuits CPS23 (GN/VT), 980 (YE/WH), CPS28 (GN) and 981 (RD/WH), front height motor circuits CPS24 (GY), 979 (RD/LB), CPS25 (WH/VT) and 990 (YE/LB) or rear height motor circuits CPS27 (BU/BN), 982 (YE/LG), CPS26 (YE/BU) and 983 (RD/LG).

This pinpoint test is intended to diagnose the following:
- Wiring, terminals or connectors
- Seat control switch
- Seat track motor

PINPOINT TEST E: THE POWER SEAT DOES NOT MOVE HORIZONTALLY/VERTICALLY

NOTICE: Use the correct probe adapter(s) when taking measurements. Failure to use the correct probe adapter(s) may damage the connector.

NOTE: The air bag warning indicator illuminates when the correct Restraints Control Module (RCM) fuse is removed and the ignition switch is ON.

NOTE: The Supplemental Restraint System (SRS) must be fully operational and free of faults before releasing the vehicle to the customer.

NOTE: During testing, circuit numbers and wire colors may change as they pass through connectors.
