Hazard Warning Switch Replacement

Removal Procedure

On most medium duty trucks the hazard warning knob assembly is mounted on the dash. However, certain models are equipped with the hazard warning knob that is mounted to the steering column.




1. Remove the screw (1).
2. Remove the button (2).
3. Remove the spring (3).
4. Remove the knob (4).

Installation Procedure




1. Install the knob (4).
2. Install the spring (3).
3. Install the button (2).

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

4. Install the screw (1). Ensure that the screw is fully seated, driven not stripped.

Tighten the hazard warning knob mounting screw to 7 Nm (62 lb in).
