Valve Rocker Arm Cover Replacement - Right Side

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the engine cover. Refer to Engine Cover Replacement .
2. Remove the oil filler tube.




3. Remove the positive crankcase ventilation (PCV) hose (1).




4. Remove the rocker arm cover bolts.
5. Remove and discard the rocker arm cover bolt grommets, if necessary.
6. Remove the rocker arm cover.




7. Remove and discard the rocker arm cover gasket.
8. Clean and inspect the rocker arm cover, if necessary. Refer to Valve Rocker Arm Cover Cleaning and Inspection (Overhaul) .



Installation Procedure

Important: Do not reuse the cover gasket or the valve rocker arm cover bolt grommets.







1. Install a NEW rocker arm cover gasket.
2. Install NEW rocker arm cover bolt grommets, if necessary.




3. Install the rocker arm cover.
Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice .


4. Install the rocker arm cover bolts.

Tighten the bolts to 12 N.m (106 lb in).





5. Install the PCV hose (1).
6. Install the oil filler tube.
7. Install the engine cover. Refer to Engine Cover Replacement .
