Refrigerant Pressure Sensor / Switch: Service and Repair
Air Conditioning (A/C) Refrigerant Pressure Sensor Replacement (LLV, LLR) (2.9L, 3.7L)
Tools Required
J 39400-A Halogen Leak Detector
Removal Procedure
1. Disconnect the A/C refrigerant pressure sensor electrical connector.
2. Remove the A/C refrigerant pressure sensor from the evaporator inlet tube.
Installation Procedure
1. Using a lint-free clean, dry cloth, carefully clean the sealing surfaces of the evaporator inlet tube fitting.
Note: DO NOT allow any of the mineral base 525 viscosity refrigerant oil on the O-ring seal to enter the refrigerant system.
2. Lightly coat the O-ring seal with mineral base 525 viscosity refrigerant oil.
Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution (Fastener Caution).
3. Install the A/C refrigerant pressure sensor to the evaporator inlet tube. Tighten the sensor to 5 Nm (44 lb in).
4. Connect the A/C refrigerant pressure sensor electrical connector.
5. Leak test the fittings of the component using J 39400-A.
