Evaporative Emission Line Replacement - Engine

Removal Procedure
Warning: Refer to Fuel and Evaporative Emission Pipe Warning (Technician Safety Information).

Warning: Refer to Gasoline/Gasoline Vapors Warning (Service Precautions).


Caution: Refer to Fuel and Evaporative Emission Hose/Pipe Connection Cleaning Caution (Fuel and Evaporative Emission Hose/Pipe Connection Cleaning Caution).




1. Refer to Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service (Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service) in order to disconnect the evaporative emission (EVAP) hose (1) from the following:

* The throttle body assembly (2)
* The EVAP canister purge solenoid valve (3)

2. Remove the EVAP hose (1) from the engine.

Installation Procedure




1. Position the EVAP hose (1) to the engine.
2. Refer to Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service (Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service) in order to connect the EVAP hose to the following:

* The throttle body assembly (2)
* The EVAP canister purge solenoid valve (3)
