Transfer Case 2/4 Indicator Switch Replacement
Removal Procedure
1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle Service and Repair.
2. Disconnect the gray engine wiring harness electrical connector (2) from the gray 2/4 indicator switch electrical connector (4).
3. Disconnect the gray 2/4 indicator switch electrical connector (2) from the bracket (1).
4. Loosen the switch connector bracket bolt in order to release the 2/4 indicator switch pigtail.
5. Remove the transfer case 2/4 indicator switch (4) and gasket (3) from the transfer case.
Installation Procedure
Caution: Refer to Component Fastener Tightening Caution Component Fastener Tightening Caution.
1. Install the transfer case 2/4 indicator switch (4) and gasket (3) into the transfer case.
Tighten the 2/4 indicator switch to 39 Nm (29 lb ft).
2. Route the 2/4 indicator switch pigtail along the bracket (1)
3. Install the switch connector bracket bolt and tighten to 15 Nm (11 lb ft).
4. Connect the gray 2/4 indicator switch electrical connector (2) to the bracket (1).
5. Connect the gray engine wiring harness electrical connector (2) to the gray 2/4 indicator switch electrical connector (4).
6. Lower the vehicle.
