DTC 63

DTC 63: Battery Module Overheating

NOTE: The IMA system indicator may indicate DTC63 when the inlet port of the duct or the area around the spare tire is blocked.

1. Turn the ignition switch ON (II).
Is DTC 72 indicated?
YES- Replace the battery module.
NO- Go to step 2.
2. Turn the ignition switch OFF.
3. Turn the battery module switch OFF.
4. Remove the IPU lid.
5. Check the battery module fan and battery module fan duct.
Are the battery module fan and battery module fan duct OK ?
YES- Replace the battery module.
NO- Replace the battery module fan or repair as necessary.
