DTC P1882: Problem in Inhibitor Solenoid Circuit

NOTE: Record all freeze data and review General Troubleshooting Information before you troubleshoot.

1. Turn the ignition switch OFF.
2. Disconnect the solenoid harness connector (8P).





3. Measure the resistance between solenoid harness connector (8P) terminals No. 5 and body ground.
Is the resistance 11.7 - 21.0 Ohms ?
YES-Go to step 4.
NO-Replace the lower valve body assembly.
4. Disconnect TCM connector B (22P).





5. Check for continuity between TCM connector terminal B1 and body ground.
Is there continuity?
YES-Repair short to ground in the wire between TCM connector terminal B1 and the solenoid harness connector (8P).
NO-Go to step 6.
6. Connect the solenoid harness connector (8P).





7. Measure the resistance between TCM connector terminal B1 and body ground.
Is there 11.7 - 21.0 Ohms ?
YES-Check for loose terminal fit in the TCM connectors. If necessary, substitute a known-good TCM and recheck.
NO-Repair open in the wire between TCM connector terminal B1 and the solenoid harness connector (8P).
