DTC B1655 CRASH RECORDED (SIDE-REPLACE SRSCM)GENERAL DESCRIPTION
If a crash is detected while another crash is being stored, the ACU shall store the second crash record after the first crash record has been completely stored into NVM (Non Volatile Memory). If a crash is detected while a near crash event is recorded, the near crash recording shall be stopped and the crash data shall be recorded into NVM. If a first or second stage crash is detected while a pretensioner only event is recorded, the pretensioner only event recording shall be stopped and the first or second stage crash shall be recorded.
DTC DESCRIPTION
If a crash event occurs within 300 ms of an ongoing event, the ACU shall deploy all restraints according to the deployment logic unless the algorithm is disabled (due to an internal fault). However, the ACU shall write the crash record for the first detected event only.
DTC Detecting Condition:
MONITOR SCANTOOL DATA
1. Ignition "OFF", connect scantool.
2. Ignition "ON" & Engine "OFF", select "Diagnostic Trouble Codes(DTC)" mode.
3. Monitor diagnostic trouble code and present of trouble code.
4. Using a scantool, clear the DTC.
5. Is DTC present problem?
YES - DTC caused by deployment of front PAB. Substitute with a SRSCM and check for proper operation. If the problem is corrected, replace SRSCM and then go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair" procedure.
VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR
After a repair, it is essential to verify that the fault has been corrected.
1. Connect scantool and select "Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTC)" mode.
2. Using a scantool, clear the DTC.
3. Operate the vehicle within DTC Enable conditions in General information.
4. Are any DTC present?
YES - Go to the applicable troubleshooting procedure.
NO - System is performing to specification at this time.
