SRS Front Impact Sensors

This article has been updated by technical service bulletin (TSB) 06-90-020 dated August 2006.

The location of the SRS front impact sensors shown in the 2006 and 2007 Azera Electrical Troubleshooting Manuals is incorrect.

All Azera vehicles have the sensors installed on the upper radiator support brace. Refer to the following photos when necessary to locate, test, or replace the sensors.

Impact Sensor Location View:

The left and right front impact sensors are installed on the upper radiator support brace.

Threaded Mounting Stud:

Each sensor is located behind the brace on the threaded mounting stud as shown.

Sensor Mounting:

Each sensor is installed on the mounting stud with a 10mm bolt.

Note that the upper radiator support brackets can be removed to improve access to the front impact sensors.
