Diagnosis Procedure

POWER WINDOW SERIAL LINK

FRONT POWER WINDOW SWITCH (PASSENGER SIDE) : Diagnosis Procedure

Regarding Wiring Diagram information, refer to "Wiring Diagram" [1][2]Electrical Diagrams.

1. CHECK POWER WINDOW SWITCH INPUT SIGNAL

1.Turn ignition switch ON.
Revision: March 20122013 Infiniti JX
2.Check signal between power window and door lock/unlock switch RH harness connector and ground with oscilloscope.





Is the inspection result normal?
YES- Replace power window and door lock/unlock switch RH. Refer to "Removal and Installation" Main Power Window and Door Lock/Unlock Switch.
NO- GO TO 2.

2. CHECK POWER WINDOW SERIAL LINK SIGNAL

1.Turn ignition switch OFF.
2.Disconnect power window and door lock/unlock switch RH connector.
3.Turn ignition switch ON.
4.Check voltage between power window and door lock/unlock switch RH harness connector and ground.





Is the inspection result normal?
YES- Replace power window main switch. Refer to "Removal and Installation" Main Power Window and Door Lock/Unlock Switch.
NO- GO TO 3.

3. CHECK POWER WINDOW SERIAL LINK CIRCUIT

1.Disconnect power window main switch connector.
2.Check continuity between power window main switch harness connector and power window and door lock/unlock switch RH harness connector.





Is the inspection result normal?
YES- GO TO 4.
NO- Repair or replace harness.

4. CHECK INTERMITTENT INCIDENT

Refer to "Intermittent Incident" Intermittent Incident.
