SYMPTOM
VEHICLE SPEED SENSOR FAILURE

WHEN MONITORED
With ignition on.

SET CONDITION
If the BCM detects the current on the Vehicle Speed Sensor (rear wheel speed sensor) input is out of range for more than 5 seconds, this code will set. The sensor supplies a square wave signal to the BCM whose period varies with the vehicle speed.

- ABS DTC'S present
- Vehicle speed sensor failure DTC present - ABS
- Vehicle speed sensor failure DTC present- NON/ABS
- Vehicle speed sensor supply circuit short to ground
- Vehicle speed signal circuit short to ground
- Vehicle speed signal short to ground - NON/ABS
- Vehicle speed sensor supply circuit open
- Vehicle speed signal circuit short to voltage
- Vehicle speed signal short to voltage - NON/ABS
- Vehicle speed signal circuit open
- Vehicle speed signal open - NON/ABS
- Vehicle speed sensor
- Body control module - vehicle speed sensor supply open
- Body control module - vehicle speed signal open
- Body control module - vehicle speed signal open - NON/ABS
