P0181
DTC P0181 - Fuel Temp Sensor A Circuit Range/Performance Malfunction
Description
This sensor measures the fuel temperature and employs a temperature-sensitive resistance with a negative temperature coefficient(NTC). The voltage across the sensor varies with the temperature of the fuel vapor and the voltage, which may vary from 0V to 5V, is high when the sensor is cold and low when the sensor is cold and low when the sensor is hot. The fuel temperature sensor is used to supply the ECM with information regarding the monitoring condition of the EVAP canister purge system for 0.5mm (0.02in) leakage. If the fuel temperature sensor is monitored for high or low stuck or difference between fuel temperature and engine coolant temperature is exceeds limited value, this is interpreted by the ECM as a fault If the difference between actual and calculated value exceeds threshold value, the ECM judged this as a fault and DTC is set.
