Terminal and Connector Inspection

1. Many malfunctions in the electrical system are caused by poor harness(es) and terminals. Faults can also be caused by interference from other electrical systems, and mechanical or chemical damage.
2. Thoroughly check connectors for looseness, poor connection, bending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration, or damage.
3. Has a problem been found?






Charging System Inspection

Check Charging System :
1. ENG "ON" and Turn On the electrical load such as Head light and Heater.
2. Check battery voltage (+) and (-) after accelerating 2500 engine rpm at idle status for 2 min.

Specification : About 9 ≤ Vbatt ≤ 16





3. Is the measured voltage within specification ?






Power Circuit Inspection

1. IG "OFF".
2. Wait for 1 min. after disconnecting battery (-) cable.
3. Disconnect IPM connector.
4. IG "ON" after connecting battery (-) terminal.
5. Measure voltage between ON/START terminal of IPM harness connector and chassis ground.

Specification : About 9 ≤ Vbatt ≤ 16





6. Is the measured voltage within specification ?






Ground Circuit Inspection

1. IG "OFF".
2. Wait for 1 min. after disconnecting battery (-) terminal.
3. Disconnect IPM connector.
4. Measure resistance between Ground Terminal of IPM harness connector and chassis ground.

Specification : About below 1 Ohm.





5. Is the measured value within specification ?
