Removal
1 Disconnect the battery ground cable. For additional information, refer to Specifications Service and Repair
2 Remove the cooling fan shroud. For additional information, refer to Cooling Fan Shroud Service and Repair




3 Disconnect the cooling fan control electrical connector.

NOTE:
The thread is right handed.
Using the special tools, remove the cooling fan.
- Remove the cooling fan assembly.

NOTE:
Do not disassemble further if the component is removed for access only.
Remove the viscous coupling from the cooling fan.
- Remove the 4 bolts.

Installation
1 To install, reverse the removal procedure.
- Install the cooling fan to the viscous coupling, tighten the bolts to 10 Nm (7 lb.ft).
- Tighten the cooling fan assembly to 65 Nm (48 lb.ft).
