Headliner [Vehicles With: Tilting Roof Opening Panel]





Headliner
This is a "Trustmark Authoring Standards (TAS) Repair Procedure"
- TAS style procedures can be identified by steps that have no accompanying step text and the magenta color of the electrical connectors and fasteners such as nuts, bolts, clamps or clips.
- TAS removal and installation procedures use a sequence of color illustrations to indicate the order to be followed when removing/disassembling or installing/assembling a component.
- Many of the TAS procedures will have the installation information within the removal steps.
- The TAS color illustrations use a variety of symbols to indicate important details of the procedures. It is important to understand these symbols in order to properly used the TAS procedures.

Removal

CAUTION: Make sure that the wiring harnesses are correctly located.

NOTE:
If a headliner is to be replaced, it is imperative that the washer hose and wiring harness are installed to their original positions. Failure to follow these instructions may impede the side air curtain module performance.

NOTE:
Note the position of the wiring harnesses to aid installation.
1 Remove both A-pillar trim panels.

2 Remove both B-pillar upper trim panels.
For additional information, refer to B-Pillar Upper Trim Panel B-Pillar Upper Trim Panel
3 Remove both C-pillar trim panels.
For additional information, refer to C-Pillar Trim Panel C-Pillar Trim Panel
4 Remove both D-pillar upper trim panels.
For additional information, refer to D-Pillar Trim Panel D-Pillar Trim Panel




5 Remove the loadspace securing ring.




6 Remove the rear quarter trim panel.
7 Remove the glove compartment.

8 Passenger side: Remove the cowl side trim panel.

9 Passenger side: Remove the speaker grille.













10 Remove the interior rear view mirror.
For additional information, refer to Interior Rear View Mirror Interior Rear View Mirror





11 Remove both sun visors.

12 Remove the overhead console.
For additional information, refer to Overhead Console Overhead Console





13 Remove both front interior lamps.





14 Remove the center interior lamp.





15 Remove the rear interior lamp.





16 Remove the 4 passenger assist handles.

17 Position the front seats fully forward.

18 Position the rear seats fully forward.





19 Release the rear of the headliner.





20 Release the front door seals.





21 Disconnect the washer jet hose.





22 Release the headliner.





23 Disconnect the roof opening panel motor electrical connector.





NOTE:
This step requires the aid of another technician.

24 Remove the headliner.





NOTE:
Do not disassemble further if the component is removed for access only.

25 Remove the tire pressure monitoring system receiver.

NOTE:
Make sure that this component is installed to the noted removal position.

26 Remove the washer jet hose.

27 Remove the 14 clips.





NOTE:
Note the position of the wiring harnesses to aid installation.

28 Remove the headliner wiring harness.

Installation






CAUTION: Make sure that the wiring harnesses are correctly located.
Align the yellow tape on the wiring harness to the corner of the headliner.
1 Install the clips.
2 Install the washer jet hose.
3 Install the tire pressure monitoring system receiver.

NOTE:
This step requires the aid of another technician.
4 Install the headliner.
5 Connect the roof opening panel motor electrical connector.
6 Connect the washer jet hose.
7 Attach the front door seals.
8 Attach the rear of the headliner.
9 Reposition the rear seats.

10 Reposition the front seats.

11 Install the passenger assist handles.

12 Install the rear interior lamp.

13 Install the center interior lamp.

14 Install the front interior lamps.

15 Install the overhead console.

16 Install the sun visors.

17 Install the interior rear view mirror.

18 Connect the headliner wiring harness and secure the clips.

19 Install the speaker grille.

20 Install the cowl side trim panel.

21 Install the glove compartment.
For additional information, refer to Glove Compartment Service and Repair

22 Install the rear quarter trim panel.

23 Install the loadspace securing ring and tighten the Torx screw.
Torque to: 25 Nm

24 Install the D-pillar trim panels.
For additional information, refer to D-Pillar Trim Panel D-Pillar Trim Panel

25 Install the C-pillar trim panels.

26 Install the B-pillar trim panels.

27 Install the A-pillar trim panels.
