Rear Door: Service and Repair
REAR DOORCOMPONENTS
DISASSEMBLY
1. REMOVE THESE PARTS:
HINT: Tape a screwdriver tip before use.
(a) Door inside handle bezel
(b) Door speaker cover
(c) Ash tray
(d) Armrest base upper
(e) Armrest
2. REMOVE DOOR TRIM
(a) Remove the courtesy light.
(b) Remove the 3 screws from the door trim.
(c) Insert a screwdriver between the door and door trim to pry out.
NOTICE: Be careful not to damage the door and door trim.
HINT: Tape the screwdriver tip before use.
(d) Remove the inner weatherstrip from the door trim.
(e) Remove the 11 screws and armrest base from the door trim.
3. REMOVE THESE PARTS:
(a) Door belt moulding
HINT: Pry out the clip from the edge of the panel, and remove the moulding.
(b) Door weatherstrip
NOTICE: Do not pUll strongly on the weatherstrip as it may tear.
(c) Door inside handle
(d) Service hole cover
ASSEMBLY NOTICE: Do not block the clip sealing with the tape.
ASSEMBLY HINT: Bring out the link though the service hole cover.
(e) Door speaker
(f) Link protector
(g) Locking link and door opening link
(h) Door glass run
(i) Rear lower frame
(j) Quarter window glass with weatherstrip
(k) Door glass
(l) Window regulator
Torque: 5.0 Nm (50 kgf-cm, 43 in.-lbf)
ASSEMBLY HINT: Apply MP grease to the sliding surface and gears of the regulator.
ASSEMBLY NOTICE: Do not apply grease to the spring.
(m) Door lock
ASSEMBLY HINT: Apply adhesive to the 3 screws.
Part No.08833-00070, THREE BOND 1324 or equivalent.
Torque: 5.0 Nm (50 kgf-cm, 43 in.-lbf)
ASSEMBLY HINT: Apply MP grease to the sliding surface of the door lock.
(n) Door outside handle
REPLACEMENT
1. REPLACE REAR DOOR GLASS
(a) Remove glass channel with screwdriver or similar object.
(b) Apply soapy water to inside of weatherstrip.
(c) Install channel by tapping it with plastic hammer.
REASSEMBLY
Reassembly is in the reverse order of disassembly.
